That's the great/terrible thing about making art. You have to find a way to live in a place of constant uncertainty. Well, I guess that's no entirely true. It's more accurate to say I have chosen a path where I have to live in a place of constant uncertainty, artistically speaking. That being said, it is nice to have artists to look to like Bruce Nauman who have blazed that trail already, and done so successfully. One of the most inspiring things about the Art 21 video I have linked to is not any one work but the eclectic array of projects shown, both finished and unfinished.
